Grilled Cheese Using 90 Second Keto Bread

So, who doesn’t like grilled cheese sandwiches? Well, this grilled cheese recipe is Keto friendly. Courtesy some handy, 90 second Keto bread, this is one for the history books. So simple, so quick, and so very delicious! Grilled cheese sandwiches happen to be a personal favourite. They were also topping my list of things I crave most often when eating Keto. Thus, this grilled cheese Keto treat is a lifesaver!

90 second bread is a real Keto staple. Of all the Keto bread recipes, this one is one of my favourites. It’s so easy to make, and really versatile. I added seasonings to mine. But frankly, that’s just me being extra. You really don’t need to add anything to it. Because of the almond flour, 90 second bread has a really mild flavour. So, if you just have it with cheese, it tastes really great.

Ingredients  

  • 3 tbsp almond flour (I used Kirkland)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • A medium sized egg
  • Seasonings of choice
  • 1 slice of processed cheese
  • 1 tbsp of butter

Yes, that’s right; I said it. There are a ton of Keto bread recipes out there. And what I’ve realised is that all of them serve a purpose. For a Keto grilled cheese recipe, the 90 second bread is the way to go. It’s really soft, toasts perfectly, and has a really mild flavour.

Method

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, egg, oil and seasonings.
  2. Microwave for 90 seconds. Let the bread cool down before handling it.
  3. Slice the bread into two halves, and place the cheese in the middle.
  4. Toast the sandwich in a pan with some butter. Each side should take a minute. Serve warm.

Serves 1. Calories per serving: 540. Net carbs: 2 grams. Fat 53 grams. Protein: 12 grams.
